"Emily Burridge has produced a unique two-album set with "Out of the Blue & Into the Amazon".....A very unusual and distinctive creation"
It was very encouraging to learn that my new double CD release "Out of the Blue & Into the Amazon" had been selected for a review by Keith Ames of the Musician's Union UK. He informed me that he chose sixteen CDs out of two hundred and fifty submissions.
..."Emily set up her own studio in the early 1990's and began a fascination with the Amazon. This two CD reflects this interest - one is a collection of her own subtle compositions, while the second is a soundtrack for the dawn-to-dusk daily life of a South American Indian tribe. Deep, fascinating and unique"

"Each track of the newest album of Emily Burridge is a short story. They are all told by the expressive musical voice of the artist’s cello. Emily is a virtuoso performer which easily conveys the smaller nuances of her feelings. And the music of the British artist is deeply emotional also. It is overflowing with the irrepressible passion of Emily’s heart. The music of “Out of the Blue & Into the Amazon” has one more very important feature. It contains the wildness of the Xavante tribe, their primordial and very heartfelt sense of the surrounding world. It is so very important for the modern human perverted civilization which forgets the natural things as love, compassion, and empathy following the illusive technical progress. Therefore the music of Emily Burridge is like a gulp of fresh air from the first seconds to the last chords. The artist masterfully adds various sounds of nature to her touching music. But the most captivating is the singing of the Xavante people. Something very ancient is felt in their voices. All this creates a calming meditative state of mind when you listen to this project. “Out of the Blue & Into the Amazon” is undoubtedly an outstanding release in the genres of new age, neo classical and contemporary instrumental music. This double CD is a generous gift for music lovers searching for sincere music." Serge Kozlovsky http://sergekozlovsky.com
